You are in Full Screen Mode. The F11 key toggles Full Screen Mode on and off.
You can install the following Add-on to choose which toolbars are displayed in Full Screen Mode. In your case, you can choose to display the Navigation Toolbar; you can not display individual elements (i.e., the Location Bar on the Navigation Toolbar).
