After setting up my desktop Firefox, my mobile Firefox tries to sync and then reports an error of "Missing password"

I have successfully set up sync on my desktop Firefox install. When I try to add a device:

  1. I enter the 3 segment code from my mobile Firefox in desktop Firefox dialog
  2. desktop Firefox shows "Sync Complete" dialog
  3. mobile Firefox shows in options view that sync status is not connected due to "Missing password"
  4. attempting to connect shows a dialog with
   * the proper sync key (locally saved) from my desktop firefox
   * a filled password field
   * the correct email address

Try to clear the Firefox Data from Android Settings > Manage Applications and try again to add your device to Desktop Sync. It should work as expected.
