How do I stop a firefox update window from appering constantly? Is this a scam?

I get an update window that appears constantly. It asks me to update my Firefox information. This does not appear legitimate to me. Can you tell me how to stop this window from appearing after I load Firefox?

Install the latest 6.0.2 version and that message won't appear.
