I can't get the new tab button to open a blank tab. Nothing happens when I click on it.
I think this problem began a few days ago when Firefox automatically upgraded, but I'm not sure. All I know is that when I try to open a new tab by clicking on the new tab button, nothing happens. I do this a lot so it's really frustrating.

Uninstall the Ask Toolbar. It can cause that problem. It may have been installed as a "ride-along" add-on with some "free" software that you installed and you failed to un-check the option to install it.
