Home screen says I am not on layest version when I am

more options

When I start Firefox, the home screen displays, the message under the search box which says "You're not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade today to get the best of the Web!". However, if I click the "Upgrade today" link in this message or go to Help - About Firefox, both say "Firefox is up to date". Whats going on here?

This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox, I don't think it is being maintained by Google.

Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of about:home. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same.
