whenever i close one session of internet browsing using firefox and try to restart another,startup page does not open,rather a message displaying firefox is already running,close previous session appears,even when nothing is running

  • Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.
  • Wait a bit longer before reopening Firefox to give Firefox more time to close completely.
