We have an application GUI which requires Java 1.4 plugin. I am trying to access from Firefox 17 and unable to install or add plug in for Java 1.4.

Is this possible to add Java 1.4 plug in for Firefox 17? Any workarounds to make our application GUI work with Firefox 17?

Java 1.4 is not supported in Firefox. Java will not work unless you are using the Next-Generation Java Plug-In (included in Java 6 Update 10 and above). Additionally, Mozilla is blocking outdated Java versions as a security measure. Ref:
