Please explain what the various Firefox update channels are and what they mean / do ?
My system tells me that I am using version 18.0.1 and that I am on the 'Release update channel' - is this the normal / standard update process channel appropriate for non 'techy' users ?
Operating system is Windows Vista Business

Hello yak555, YES the release channel will provide stable release versions, including all security updates, and it is the normal update process for most firefox users.
