Since I installed Windows 7, my g-mail only partly loads and looks terrible using Firefox.
G-mail looked great in Firefox using XP. Why did my upgrade to Windows 7--along with installation of Microsoft Suite--ruin how g-mail works in Firefox? And how can I fix it? I can't see g-mail boxes I should see--such as the Password box--and it displays borders once I'm in the account that I shouldn't see. All in all, it's distorted and distracting enough that using g-mail is difficult. And this problem occurs just in Firefox: Chrome displays g-mail just fine. But...I'd rather use Firefox.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Tried it; unfortunately, didn't help. Seemed to lock up g-mail entirely, though it may have been something else--in any case, I couldn't see the borders for the User or Password boxes, and I couldn't log in.
This all started with the Windows 7 operating system upgrade. Is there some additional step I need to take to make g-mail work with this system?
