I use Google as my homepage and have had to reset this as the homepage on multiple occasions. I keep opening my Firefox to find a search engine by the name of Snapdo as the homepage. I don't know how this ever got set as the homepage to begin with and can't seem to get it to go away and keep Google as my homepage. Can someone please help me with this. I have set Google as the homepage in all kinds of different ways and still can't seem to get this Snapdo to stop coming back. I've never even heard of the search engine before.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Disable or remove the QuickShare Widget extension here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

If it can't be removed, it likely was installed along with something else and needs to be removed through the Windows control panel.
