Hi How can i change the default search engine used in firefox android? I would much prefer to use something other than google. The previous method does not work

How can i change the default search engine used in Firefox android to https://duckduckgo.com? The previous instructions for changing the default search no longer work. the String keyword.URL no longer exists and after adding it and inputting a value of https://duckduckgo.com/?q= it still default to a Google search. Go figure when the only play i can get Firefox for Android it the Google Play store .
