When I try to contact members with questions about an item being auctioned I can never successfully complete the process. Initially selecting the item in the opening window (after clicking on the seller's id) typically aborts the process. If I'm able to finesse my way into the next screen, I select "Other" and then pose my question. Completing all the appropriate details I fill in the confirmation number given, click enter, and immediately get an error message flagging the confirmation number box. A new confirmation number appears. Which doesn't work nor any of the others which follow on each unsuccessful attempt. When I try to listen to the number so that I can fill it in that way, I get no sound. Everything works fine in ie8. Specifically a firefox fluke. Any ideas? Cleared the Firefox cookies and cache -- didn't help. Thanks.

Hello,

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  • Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
  • In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
  • Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Can you provide a link please
    • Is this a public website not requiring a login ?
(That will allow others to easily test for the problem)
  2. Do you have similar problems on any other website ?
  3. What security related software is included ?
Including any script blocking software or extensions.
