Cannot update my Firefox and some of programs say I need to

more options

You TUbe is saying I will be able t0 access it if I do update my firefox and when I go update page and click up date nothing happens. I have done this several times in last two days but I do not get a dialog box or anything and every time I click on update it is like a rotating web page update carries me to another page and then another then back to update.

This is what this forum "read" as the browser you used to start this questions thread.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 AskTbWCLV5/3.15.25.44892 Firefox/3.6.2 GTB7.1 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0E)

Both the Ask Toolbar and the Google Toolbar extensions may have "locked" your User Agent string on to the old Firefox 3.6.2 version, and every website you go to will think you are using Firefox 3.6.2.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resetting_your_useragent_string_to_its_compiled-in_default

Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Type general.useragent in the Filter line at the top.

Right-click and use Reset for any preference that appears bold and is "user set".

Then restart Firefox.

Ya, your using older version of Firefox 3.6.2, now the latest version is Firefox 24.

Download the Firefox and upgrade it.

Hello,

  1. Download manually the latest Desktop version of Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
  3. Now, go ahead and install Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

Thank you.
