I often find that FF lags on many sites and also loses "signed on" status and I have to login again. These problems do not occur on other browsers. FF has everything I need and the others have many annoying niggles so I prefer to stay with FF but it woul dbe nice to get these glitches fixed.

You do have a ton of addons which could cause webpage problems. Can you try safe mode.

There are some of the "ton" of addons, Lastpass for example, that I can't really live without. I'll disable as many as I don't need and try running that way for a day or so.

@Waka_Flocka_Flame

Could you perhaps make and inspired guess as to which of my ton of addons might be prime suspects in the crime of lag causing?

Addons such as

  • Adblock Plus

And i have no idea what

  • OPML Support 4
is

Also note that you should try safe mode, and see if its solved there first, then try the troubleshooting method in the article in my first post.

On checking through the extensions I discovered a couple of "rogues" of which I had no knowledge had found their way into my system. I have deleted those.

FYI, OPML Support is designed to export Live Bookmarks from the Bookmarks Library in a format compatible with other applications that handle RSS feeds. It does not run constantly but has to be specifically invoked so I'd doubt it would contribute to lags.

It would be a pity if Adblock Plus is a culprit. It's a very handy tool.
