Firefox Not Responding when launching application
Starting last week, when I launch Firefox it immediately goes into a Not Responding state. I believe it occurred immediately after it auto upgraded to 25.0.1. I've attempted all of the following:
- Reinstallation of Firefox 25.0.1 - After the reinstallation Firefox launches, closes and launches without a problem. After a restart, the problem returns.
- Installed version 24 (I don't know what version I had last) - Again, after installation everything is fine, and upon rebooting, the problem returns. I ensured that the auto-update was disabled, so it remained at version 24.
- Launched Profile Manager to create a new profile. When starting with this profile, the issue still exists.
- Launched Firefox in safe mode - The problem still exists, but at first everything seems fine, however if I open anotehr tab or pull up the Add-ons the application goes into a not responding status.
- It doesn't report any error messages, but I've only checked the Event Viewer.
I'm running Windows 7 x64 bit
This issue has essentially turned Mozilla as useless.

Hi Wenin,
Sorry you are having problems.
From what you say I am not sure the problem is the update. You could try the Firefox reset, but you have already tried a more advanced option by creating a new profile & also tried Safe Mode.
Try Windows safe mode to try to rule out OS and other software and if that fails then try a clean reinstall of Firefox (deleting the program files - not the profile).

It could have been messed up sessionstore files, but as you tried a new profile that is not so likely.

I conducted the clean installation, and that didn't resolve the problem.
I deleted the "Mozilla firefox" folder from the Program Files (x64) directory. There wasn't a directory under the Program files directory.
Is there an Error log that could be recording something as to what is going on?
Could you check for malware and BitGuard?
