Try restore from the default backup:
Other way:
First you need show the hidden files and folder.
Go to your profile:
Enter in the bookmarks backup folder and try get the most recent backup and restore form it, using the process that i posted above.
or in your profile folder there is a places.sqlite file, you can use it to restore your bookmarks.
Or you can try use a SQLite Manager:
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can also check the Time Machine for an older copy of the places.sqlite file.
