I have tried a number of gadgets on the igHome site (same ones as I used on my old Google home page) and none of them work. All the other gadgets work well...it is just the weather gadgets (no matter which one I try) that do not function. News and sports and other element all update and function normally and regularly...make any sense???

Why not try asking at the igHome support website.

Nothing seems to work as well as the old IGoogle home page...I have igHome, but most of the gadgets do not actually work...tried the suggestion of the-ed-meister above and have never received any response from Mozilla or anyone else.

Your initial thread was posted almost a month ago and you haven't responded yet until today. If no one replies to your thread, then your thread gets pushed down the workflow to make way for the incoming support requests.
From what Ed said, that link is probably the best route to go since we can't do anything about weather gadgets not loading as it's a part of IGHome and not Firefox.
P.S. http://ighome.uservoice.com/ is not run by Mozilla. I thought I would clear that up since your post made it seem like you thought Mozilla ran it
