Technical Support Team,

Top of the morning and greetings from Central Kentucky! I just downloaded Firefox 29 and the browser border, as well as, idle tabs are now deep Blue. How do I change this color back to the Gray/Silver it was in previous versions of the best browser on the planet? Please advise…

Nickalus T. Holt

P.S. Microsoft XP Professional operating System

In another thread, a volunteer suggested a theme. I should have thought of that.

Lightweight themes put a new background image behind the toolbar area. You can find a huge selection here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/themes/

You can use the search box to find silver themes, or try the "solid" category in the left column.

Hi Nickalus, I think what you are seeing is the standard Windows XP title bar color expanded to twice the height. That white-on-blue theme may be disturbingly vibrant. (I always preferred the Silver theme on Windows XP, but that's neither here nor there.)

Many aspects of Firefox's interface can be changed using custom style rules, or themes, or extensions. I'm not sure which are best for Windows XP, so hopefully others will jump in. I could look at XP on an old computer this evening if it isn't solved by then.

Jscher2000,

Problem solved... You were on the money... It was a Microsoft setting and NOT Firefox. Thanks a million for your assistance Sir!
