Ever since I upgraded to FF 29.0.1 I've had issues with FF hanging at random. I tried reset, new places, disabling plugins, even un-install and re-install FF.

FF 29.0.1 hangs up & stops working at random, no pattern. I tried resetting, new place files, disabling plugins, even removing and installing FF. NONE of these work. IE is snail slow. Chrome is weird. I LOVED FF until version 29.0.1. I run Vista Home Premium.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt Key> to bring up the tool bar. Then Tools > Options > Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.
