When I'm accessing some media web site, Older version of fire fox used to detect and display message like Additional Plugins are required to display all the media on this page, Install missing plugin.

Latest version of fire fox is not detecting this popup, please let me know how to enable it.

Maybe check the plugins.hide* prefs on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Note that Firefox usually doesn't detect that it needs the Windows Media Player plugin and can come up with the notification that no suitable plugin is found.

Did you check the about:config page to see if there are plugins.hide prefs that look bold (user set) to indicate that they were changed from the default value like I posted above?
