my question describes the problem fully. apparently my other user on this computer has downloaded a file(s) that causes all my queries to go to yahoo and no replies come back. the MOST annoying non-answer is how do I remove yahoo from my system.

i went to "start" and deleted anything that has the name yahoo as part of it. This situation started within the last few days; asking my other party (daughter) on this computer what she may have downloaded is useless as she deletes anything she downloads or sends it to her own computer when finished.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, you have MindSpark Toolbar Platform Plugin Stub for 32-bit Windows in your Plugins, which may be causing the problem and should be disabled or removed: Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Plugins.

Also please try working through Remove Yahoo Toolbar and search.yahoo.com by Malware Tips.

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

After removal you may need to reset your home page and search, which you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
