I have a SENT folder on one of my accounts that I can't delete. All of my Sent messages go to the LOCAL SENT folder including the account that has the SENT folder that I want to delete. I was able to delete other SENT folders from my other accounts but this one account won't let me delete it's Sent folder. How do I delete this unneeded SENT folder? Thanks Vince.

Found the answer myself. I simply went to the Thunderbird directory in Windows 7 Explorer and deleted the Sent folder from there. Restarted Thunderbird and the folder was gone. Here's an example after you open Explorer:

C:\Users\"YourComputersName"\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\phxzu4lw.default\Mail\inbound.YourMailBoxNumber

You can get the above address for your accounts from the Account Settings / Server Settings. It will be on the bottom of the left pane under the Local Directory heading. Look for the file you want to delete, delete both entries for the file then restart Thunderbird.

This worked for my problem, hope it helps you too. Vince
