The snipping tool worked fine the first several times I used it, now when I try to use it, the page I'm trying to print turns grey and the tool won't work. I found someone who had the same problem, and it was connected to the ibm security software, windows 10, and Firefox not allowing the snipping tool to work unless the ibm security is turned off, but I can't find it to turn it off. I can't locate it in the software on my computer, I can't locate it in Windows 10, and I can't locate it on Firefox. It sounds like an easy fix, but why can't I find it??

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Hi, if you have it, it will be on your PC. Check in All Programs/Apps, or do a search in the PC's search box.

Look in the Control Panel > Programs - I'm not familiar with Win10, but I've a feeling you can find it by right clicking on the Start button, or search for 'Control Panel.'

As an alternative to Snipping Tool, see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

In Firefox, you can take screenshots with an add-on like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nimbus-screenshot/

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

In  Windows 10   the   Control Panel   can be found by pressing the     Windows-key on the keyboard, and when it's not there   (yet),   you can press: Windows-key plus the 'x'-key.

If we are lucky this could be a feature that is built in to future versions of Firefox. There is a screenshot feature in Nightly and there is experimental test versions of a tool similar to the snipping tool that can be tried out in Test Pilot currently it is called page shot

I suppose this is not directly a Firefox support question, as it is not a problem with Firefox. However I am not going to lock or mark this as off topic because the use of the snipping tool is very useful in providing information about Firefox problems. And Rapport (now from IBM) is software that often causes issues for Firefox users.
