I can't turn off search suggestions

Happy New Year! My search bar on my continues to suggest sites, even though I have turned them off in the Settings. So, if I type "sl" in the search bar, it will show me slickdeals.net. I have no desire to ever visit this site and I don't want to continually see these my search bar! I'm hoping this is just a glitch and will get fixed?

Please don't suggest turning off suggestions - as I mentioned, I've already done it. This only happens on my new Galaxy S7, never happens on my old S5 I use for work, so maybe it's just a problem in the new version.

For some reason, that is one of the built-in "popular domain" matches:

Good news: it isn't from a search engine. Bad news: I am not aware of a way to stop it.
