i cant log in to firefox sync, it just asks me to sign in again
I seem to have hit a sign in loop, when i sign in, it says sign in successfull you can now use firefox sync
but then nothing is synced and i am not signed in
so i have to sign in again, and again and again and again
it just wont stay signed in
i can also go into account and sync in my android setting and add a firefox account, but the same thing happen, it says signed in you can now use firefox sync, but the account isnt then in the list

Hi
I understand that Firefox Sync did not connect to your mobile device on this occasion, but hopefully I should be able to help you force a Sync event to take place.
Assuming you have connected the same Sync account on both your mobile and desktop copies of Firefox:
In Firefox on your mobile device:
- Go into the Settings menu and select Firefox Sync
- Tap on Synchronise now
This will “force” a synchronisation of the data that is on the local device storage.
I have exactly the same problem but the answer below doesn't help. There is no Firefox account in my 'Accounts & Sync' section of my settings. If I try to add an account it asks me to sign in to Firefox. After I sign in, it says I am ready to use sync but there is still no account in the settings and I am asked to sign in again. I do get an email to say there has been a new sign in from another device. It seems that for some reason I am not getting signed in to Firefox even though it says sign on was successful.

HI. I was searching for this post, I remembered seeing it before. I am in the same loop, and I can see 16 others have same issue? Is there an actual solution for this please? I can add, I had a login problem to begin with. When I learned, that one of my email address wasn't OK to add as a secondary, I added a third one, and that worked out for me - could finally get confirmation email and log in to sync - or wait a minute! could and couldn't in the same time! if I check my Firefox Sync account from PC, it says my second android device is logged in - but in fact my Android device isn't syncing anything. Just like said above, I am logging in successfully, but then it's not syncing nothing. can we please get any help??!! I just don't understand how can this post be here so long, with so many others having same problem, but no solution?
Melinda - If you are waiting for a sensible solution from the official 'support' channel I suggest you pack some rations, it might take some time.
My issue was resolved by doing a complete software repair on my mobile using the Sony Xperia Companion software. All is well now but I did lose two hours of my life I will never get back.

Currently have this problem as well.
Tried reinstalling to see if it helped but it only made matters worse as now I have lost all the info that was synced before.
On an interesting side note, I logged in to the sync information page using the PC version. I removed the device from the list, and after I tried logging in from my phone I refreshed the list on PC but my phone doesn't appear there even though it said that the login was successful. I also received a mail every time I tried logging in from my phone like you did.
In the settings page it never shows my email as it should when logged in properly. Every login is an endless loop as it just brings me back to the login page if I try to check the sync settings after the "login successful" message.
Device: Xperia Z5P, android version 7.1.1
For now I've turned to the beta version app as it seems to be working properly there.
