fusion generator issue

I am having trouble with a website that downloads a ".cfm" file, It is supposed to then open as a pdf file in the browser. Google Chrome works OK on this website. I have contacted the technical support for this website and they say the problem is caused by the 'fusion generator' in Firefox. They suggested I use Google Chrome or IE Explorer; I really do not like either one of those browsers. I would prefer to Firefox. Do you know of this problem, and can it be fixed?

Please note that Windows 10 can and will change your Hardware Drivers to Microsoft's https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

Please update your Flash to new release yesterday : https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Please do below and try and force another update to ver 56.0.1 released a week ago https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version

See if any of the above fix's this issue. Can you at all change the the download from auto to ask you everytime and then try and save the file as a pdf. I can not find a thing on this that is up to date and useful... So hoping something above works.

Mozilla just doesn't support the CHM file format; never has and probably never will.

"Microsoft Compiled HTML Help is a Microsoft proprietary online help format, consisting of a collection of HTML pages, an index and other navigation tools. The files are compressed and deployed in a binary format with the extension .CHM, for Compiled HTML. The format is often used for software documentation." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Compiled_HTML_Help Mozilla just doesn't support proprietary file formats; if it ain't an open source format Mozilla won't support it. I know of no add-on that has ever been made for Firefox which added support for that format in Firefox.

MHT / MHTML file format is in a similar situation, although there have been 2 extensions for Firefox available over the years that provide support within Firefox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHTML#Firefox Unfortunately, a WE version of either hasn't yet been made and both those extension have quit working in Firefox to one degree or another within the last few versions of Firefox.
