Everytime after i closee my firefox, when i open back , i will just resume from my last page that i close. i already clean the history and the cookies but it still will open from my last site i visited. It didnt ask me if i want to restore my previous session or not, it just straight to open the tab from my previous session. I already try to refresh firefox but still not working.

I wish mine did that...I have the exact opposite problem - always opens an the Firefox start page no matter what the setting. Anyhow I am guessing you have yours set to do exactly what it is doing: Click on the "Open Menu" button extreme top-right and choose "options". Under "General" modify the drop-down box to the right of "When Firefox starts: to show either a blank page or your home page. Mine is set to show windows and tabs from last time but still suddenly refuses to do that...

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder that stores session data.

  • delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.jsonlz4

When sessionstore.js is deleted you lose pinned tabs and open tabs and you will have to recreate them, so if necessary make a note or bookmark them.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
