Hi, when I export all my bookmarks the home pages are not exported too? Some days ago I had to reset Firefox and saved all but I discovered after doing the restore that my home pages (several) were totally lost. Would it be possible to add the home pages to the export option so users will not lose them? Thanks a lot,

  Roberto.

You can bookmark your home pages if you have set multiple pages. You can do that via the right-click context menu of the Tab bar with only those pages open: "Bookmarks All Tabs".

The home page setting is stored as a pref (browser.startup.homepage) that you can find on the about:config page and is stored in prefs.js in the profile folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Hi, thanks for these information, actually I could also copy and paste the home pages before the update.

What I wonder if WHY if I back up all bookmarks that function does not save also my home pages. It should do, as a user I would expect it to do it (and yes doing this I lost my home pages...).

Everything can be done in some other manual ways, still I think that the developers should add home pages to the save all (but not really all) bookmarks procedure.

Or I am the only one thinking this? :-(

Anyway thanks a lot of course for the tips!

A bookmark backup only includes the bookmarks and no other data or settings that aren't part of bookmark data stored in places.sqlite. The bookmarks and the home page are different settings although you can set a bookmarks folder as multiple homepages. If you want to backup personal data other than the bookmarks then you need to do this yourself manually as explained in the knowledge base article posted above.
