I am new to Thunderbird (52.7.0 64-bit) on my Mac (High Sierra 10.13.4). I have downloaded some themes and extensions, but the installation procedure is non-obvious. That, or I missed the instructions along the way. Please point me in the right direction.

Easy way. Go to the add one tab and click Extensions Enter the item name in the search box Install

If you downloaded the file Go to the add one tab and click extensions Click the gear icon and select Install from file
