I have written my question to the help section, only to be asked for my credit card details? This seems a little odd for me to give my credit card details?

I was given space to talk a consultant only when my question was placed I was asked for my credit card details before anything else, seems a little odd that I need to give credit card details before I even know who I am talking with?

Sounds like you ended up in a 3rd party support site which isn't related to Mozilla.

There is no need for supplying credit card details for anything involivinf Mozilla. Plus, there are no "consultants" around here, the title used here is support contributor.

Check your browsing history for the URL of where you had that happen and please provide that info here. Mozilla legal might be interested in learning more about a website that would mislead a Firefox user as to that website being related to Mozilla thru improper use of Mozilla intellectual property.
