I am trying to open magnet links with Firefox. I've gotten to the point where it asks me which program I want to open magnet links with. I want to point it to qBittorrent, which is in /usr/bin, however firefox cannot open either of these folders when browsing for the application. It always says access denied. I have tried granting it permissions thru Ubuntu Software and it did nothing. Seems like a very obvious problem. How can I choose an application if I cant ever access where they're stored? Im trying to switch from Chrome but it's proving to be way more difficult than it needs to be.

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

I already escalate your question because you are on a Linux.
