When I try to download a PDF and save it in a folder, the letters I press to create a file name come up as different letters and numbers. I press "d" four times and these letters come up "l6n2". It does not happen with word or other documents. How can I fix this?

Thank you for your time.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Hello there,

Does this also happen in other browsers and does anything turn up on a malware scan?

If your computer is malware-free you can try rebooting your computer and re-installing (or refreshing) firefox if the issue persists

[update: saw some details i needed in the question details tab, sorry!]

A possible cause is security software with an anti-keylogger feature, so if you have such software then check its settings.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
