key4.dab compatibility

more options

Hi, are the files key4.dab logins.json

generated on a 64bit Firefox compatible with a 32 bit version?

The reason is that in the 32 bit one all my "user & PW" data .... abruptly vanished. So I wished to use the existing data to restore the configuration.

Both PC are running LINUX: - 64bit has Linux Mint - 32 bit has Kubuntu

Thanks in advance for your time! Alberto

Yes, the login and password data should be compatible between the two different variations of Firefox, provided they are the same version number (for example, Firefox 77).

As a side note, if you find that your data has been removed, it's possible that Firefox may have wrongly detected a new Firefox installation and created a new blank profile folder for you. You may want to check the about:profile page in Firefox to see if your old profile is listed there. If it is, you can set it back to the default.

Hope this helps.
