Isisombululo esikhethiwe

In the image you posted, you have selected the checkbox 'Run search on server'. The server does not contain the address book, so it is not offered in the drop down.

You need to uncheck the checkbox 'Run search on server' option. Then you will get more options. The 'From' will be in the headers which would be downloaded even if the full message is not downloaded. So it should work.

If you read the information at the website you will see that the addon you mention was not upgraded to work with version 60*.

You can collect all addresses for emails you send. By default Thunderbird selects the 'Collected Addresses' address book. You can check the setting here: Menu app icon > Options > Options > Composition > 'Addressing' tab Select checkbox: 'Automatically add out going email addresses to my: ' and select the 'Collected Addresses' address book or any other.

Edit > Find > Search Messages Search for messages in : select the name of the account or a particular folder in an account. Select: Match any of the following 'From' ' isn't in my address book' select an address book click on small + to add another line. Repeat the above and choose another address book

then click on 'Search' You now have a list of 'FRom' emails that do not have an entry in address books. Save as a search folder. This will appear in the Folder Pane. So now you can select that search folder to see list of contents.

Then you can work down through the list. select email - it shows in Message Pane click on 'From' email address select 'Add to Address Book' - by default it does get added to the 'Personal Address Book' you can move later if desired. Star turns from outline to coloured when in address book. Basically 3 clicks per email to add to address book.

Not exactly as good as the crawler, but at least the find > search method sorts out what is not in the address books and the list is there for you to work through when time permits.

Thanks for your answer. The way you mentionned seems to be a good alternative but I can't find how to select the option ' isn't in my address book' and how to select an address book ? When I choose "From" I only had the choice between "Contains" or "doesn't contain" as you can see on the screenshot. Where is my mistake ?
