This only happens when I enable my adblocker, AdBlocker Ultimate. This is new behavior and was not occurring at the beginning of the week at least.

Reproduce: 1) Ensure adblocker is enabled 2) Select a playlist on youtube 3) Play first video 4) Select firefox's picture in picture icon 5) Wait for first video to end 6) Observe picture in picture closing when next video in playlist plays

This did not occur before and I was able to view youtube playlists in picture in picture without issue. Disabling adblocker seems to correct it but this is not a solution I'm willing to go with.

After some more trouble shooting, I don't believe this is a firefox PiP issue. I think the issue is between the adblocker and youtube

You can contact the creator of your adblocker if you have a problem with its extension to see if has a solution.

It is quite normal that ad-blocking extensions block essential content or otherwise cause issues and in such a case you need to allow specific content to make the website work properly. It is up to you to decide whether to accept issues or disable the extension for this website or get another content blocker that doesn't have this issue. We can't help you with such issues apart from what I suggested above.
