Right shift does work and opens a private window, but left shift does not.

The issue persists in safe mode/troubleshoot mode. I don't have permanent private browsing mode on. I can still open private windows by clicking on the "New private window" option, if that's of concern.

Does the left shift key work in other applications?

Yes, it works fine in chrome & edge. It also works while typing, gaming, etc

ctl+shft(left)+p works here as does ctl+shft(right)+p so something is wrong
