The main youtube page loads and displays ok. As soon as a video is played (even in preview), firefox crashes. I'm on Linux Manjaro. other websites with video work fine (for ex Vimeo) I tried disabling all my addons and plugins in the normal mode (not troubleshoot mode) and it still crashes. However, the troubleshoot mode works fine ! Refreshing firefox didn't fix the issue. I have another computer with Linux manjaro and firefox works just fine. I spent a lot of time trying to understand what's wrong but I really don't see why.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

Its' something with graphics driver. Perhaps a restart or cooling it was enough to fix it. IDK.

The first guess it's due to GPU drivers.

Please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Thanks @TyDraniu

here is one ID : bp-840754ce-98f7-4809-9b1e-bb9c90230111

I only have one because I had recently reinstalled firefox just before that last one. Also, for some mysterious reason, it works again, which is nice... but I didn't touch that computer since my last post. I dislike to miss an explanation... !

Let me know if you find something !

Forgot to mention that my GPU is Intel embedded in the motherboard (mac book pro 2011)

Maybe.. Well, thanks for your help though. Cannot really put thread as "solved" but it works now...

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make changes effective.
