thunderbird-102.8.0-1.fc37.x86_64 Fedora release 37 (Thirty Seven)

Whenever I click "Reply" on a message, the Write window opens with the menu focused. If I type any key to start the message, the corresponding menu item is executed.

For example: Starting to type "Hi" in the reply, executes the Help menu item and switches to Firefox and opens a tab.

To avoid this, I have to click in the message body to un-focus the menu and then start typing.

Thanks

You should ask about this in a support forum for your distribution.

Alternatively you can try the vanilla Thunderbird version from https://www.thunderbird.net/ instead of your distribution provided version.
