Thunderbird becomes unresponsive every few minutes for several minutes

more options

I'm running Thunderbird 102.11.0 und Xubuntu 22.04 with only a single Addon installed (Owl) and it becomes unresponsive every few minutes for several minutes.

This happens on two different computers (same OS setup).

Unresponsiveness happens on arbitrary actions like switching folders, navigating settings whatever.

Both machines have at least 16 GB of RAM.

Deleted the ~/.thunderbird folder and set up everything again and the issues seem to be solved.

A little more information: Thunderbird also takes about 5 minutes to start.

Just installed it on macOS on a MacBook Pro (~2016) and it seems to work fine with the same Addon installed and mail account configured.

Just removed the mail accounts and Addon and even then the UI is still laggy (e.g. when opening/closing the settings tab).
