Hello,

I am using Firefox developer edition I noticed it has updated itself to latest version  : 117.0b1(64-bit)

I always have Firefox updates so version before that was the 116.b08

After the update on startup I get the error message attached I close it and then Firefox runs normally but this happens on every time I run Firefox.

This can possibly be caused by having a Cu.import rule to import Services.jsm. In 117 and newer Services is a global variable and you can remove all Components.import (Cu.import) rules about loading Services.jsm. Firefox 116 would have shown a warning in the Browser Console that you may have missed.

  • Services.jsm will be removed by Firefox 117 or 118. Use the Services global variable instead
  • 1839355 - Add deprecation warning to Services.jsm

Cu.reportError is being intercepted and should be replaced by console.error.
