Default apps by file type set to Thunderbird Default apps by protocol set to Thunderbird File type and protocol association .eml .wdseml MAILTO MID all set set to Thunderbird rebooted pc and snipping tool 10.0.19045 still not associated with Thunderbird. snipping tool is an image making tool. It can save files a many image formats. PNG, JPG and GIF It is those file types that can be associated to an application, not an application. Normally windows will have those file types associated with an image manipulation program like photos or the venerable paint.
What are you trying to achieve really. because I think your process and what you are trying to achieve are not compatible
