Search Box
1.)Firefox 128, pressing enter into an empty search box no longer loads the default search engine website? How to reset previous search engine settings? 2.) I also noticed in firefox 128: I've noticed that you can no longer delete previous searches from the search field. Previously you could use the arrow keys to navigate, then press the shift or option key (varies by platform) in combination with Delete to remove old entries.

Damijan, Regarding the first point, this functionality was deliberately removed.
There has been discussion here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1452133
If you look at jscher2000's post, a possible workaround is to press space before pressing enter, and this will take you to your default search page with an empty search box within it.
However, if you want Mozilla to make a change (or undo a change) then the best place to voice your opinion is on their official feedback forum.
there is a thread on this subject on that site: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/independent-search-box-toolbar-no-longer-lets-you-hit-enter-to/td-p/62106
So if you wanted, you could give kudos to (i.e. upvote) the opening post on that thread and / or state your opinion on it, as Mozilla uses that site to gauge interest in ideas via karma and comments.
