I would like to be able to see a history list of ALL pages AS VISITED. For example, I will go to search engine and enter say "mozilla". I will click on an item that comes up, then back to the search. Click on another item in the search page, then back to the search, etc, etc. However the "history" in firefox does not list the visits back to the search engine, why not?? How can I get a complete history list of sites as visited? I need this so I can get back to the search where I was last when I visit one of those annoying sites such as "https://inacal.isolutions.iso.org/obp/ui#!iso:std:iso:8124:-1:ed-5:v1:en" which somehow blocks the back button. Actually that is another question, how can we stop sites from disabling the back button?

Hmm, often when you go "Back" you are viewing a cached page and Firefox doesn't send a new request to the server. I suspect that is why Firefox doesn't re-add the URL to history (and keeps the "last visit" time the same). But this may vary depending on your search site and settings.

When you say the back button was disabled, maybe the problem is that the previous page redirects forward, so a single click on the Back button just returns you to where you were. In that case, right-click the Back button to drop a list of tab history so you can choose to go back to an earlier page you visited in the same tab.

It is a pity that firefox only adds to history new requests to the server. Seems unnecessarily complicated compared with simply saving each address as it is entered into the page bar. It is creating a problem that going to history will not show recent visits to sites that have been visited some time previously, which severely restricts the value of "history".

Some sites have a way of disabling the back button. It would be nice if firefox was fixed to block whatever they do to disable the back button. In the case I mentioned the previous page was the search engine, so not redirecting. If you put that nasty page I listed in your address bar you will find you are stuck there, you cannot back up. Sadly lots of sites are doing this now, I guess they think they are so marvellous that no-one should ever leave their site. However, thanks, the right click of back button appears to be a work around, would be nice not to have to do it.
