Happens at MyWay.com and email there - all 3 accounts, as well as at MSN, and Hotmail.com, every time I go there. Also, happens regularly with my basic Home Page - and email - at Comcast.net. And it's getting rather tiresome to have to type in entries every time I want to view email, or a news page. I have gone into "Tools", and re-checked the box for "remember passwords" ; and . . . same thing - or deja vu all over again - every time.

  • Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
  • You need an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep that cookie, especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
  • Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, however, It did NOT manage to solve the problem. To begin: 1. I have NEVER checked the "Private Browsing Box", or used this feature. 2. All "Remember boxes - History, Download History, Search and Form History - are checked for use. 3. "Accept Cookies" - both "Sites" and "3rd Party" - are checked for use, with "Till They Expire" as "time limit". 4. I have NOT checked "Clear History When Firefox Closes". 5. In the area of "Cookies", I already have them from email, Home Page, and every other site that demands my constant "Sign In". 5. Even with "Remember Passwords" checked, and NO EXCEPTIONS listed, I was told that signing in HERE, today, was nothing more than an "Error Uploading Page, with "Please check you are logged in, and try again" as the only response to my signing in at Firefox itself. So . . . ? What next?
