When I go to the address bar and type in part of the address eg. cycl.... for www.cyclingnews.com it drops down a list of all the ralted sites I have been to. When I highlite the site I want and hit enter it just sits waiting. Only when I have clicked on the "Go to the address in the Location bar" with the mouse will it load the page. Previously I could just hit enter and the page would load. I can't see it in any options menus.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in Safe mode:

  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)
