Visit the following link, it should allow you to check for updates for some of the common plugins - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

For plugins that show a research button on that page, it will take you to a Google search which should help find the site the plugin was from, you can then check there to see if the plugin is up to date.

hi, I know about this page but this is 'work arround' and i'm not sure if this site is 100% compatible with firefox4. 

I would like to know if there is build in tool... or button in firefox 4 to perform this check like it was in firefox 3.

This is serious issue if firefox 4 can't take care of plugins security !
