You can install "Quit Fennec" to see if that will help you. It's a Firefox Mobile add-on.

Already have that and I use it to quit out of Firefox. Thanks for the idea. Its not that Firefox is not quitting out of memory - it is. I have been seeing it randomly re-appear back even though I am not running. It is almost like it is pre-loading services so Firefox can start quicker?

I just checked and found Firefox running again. The only browser I used recently was Dolphin HD. I haven't run Firefox for days. I also check to make sure what services are staying in memory (not via task manager but via the settings) and there was no Firefox. This morning it was running.

I don't know about your phone, but on my HTC EVO I have a "Manage Applications" and under "Running Applications", I can force any applications to quit. I don't know if that helps you or not.

FYI, I always use Quit Fennec when I finish with Firefox and I have been checking my "Running Applications" and Firefox is never there.

I use the Samsung Infuse with Andriod v2.2. I have 2 ways of determining if Firefox has anything loaded. Task Manager - running apps & Settings. Both show different things. The "Quit Fennec" kills firefox from running in the Task Manager and from the Settings.

But.... When I go to Settings->Applications->Manage Applications. There are 4 options: Third-Party, Running, All, On SD card.

I always pick Running. In that list of running "services", Firefox will show up at times even though I have used Firefox. I stopped using Firefox as my primary browser. Even though I do not actually start or use Firefox. Firefox will show as running in that list. I have not been able to determine what if anything is causing Firefox to autoload itself into memory on this phone.

I just looked under "Running Services" and Firefox is not there. I'll keep an eye on that periodically and see if it appears that or not. And if it does, I'll post here again.

Sorry, I can't help you much further since Firefox Mobile is very different than its desktop version.

Thanks for your help. I am going to try and see if there is a pattern or something I am doing to cause it. I'll post back here when I have anything else.
