I updated to firefox 5.0 and since then my pull down menus e.g. bookmarks are very wide and I cannot make them narrower. Please help.
The pulldown menus default to the widest description - e.g. the longest description of that menu. Previously the pulldown menu had a fixed width. Short of renaming each and every item in the pull down menu (for which there is no easy way to do either) is there any other solution? I am using firefox version 5.0 on my Mac.

You can't use code in userChrome.css to make changes to the Bookmarks menu on a Mac.
On a Mac the OS creates and maintains the menu bar (incl. the Bookmarks menu) and Firefox doesn't have control over the menu bar, so you can't style that menu via userChrome.css.
You can style the drop down menu of the Bookmarks Menu button.
Your only option is to shorten the names of bookmarks that have (too) long names via the Properties (right-click context menu) or in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)
