Sorry, I don't know what Operating System that the Blackberry Playbook uses. See these suport pages:

Firefox mobile requires the Android operating system. It will not run on a Playbook using Blackberry OS.
But according to the official RIM statement, Playbook can run Android apps! So cant it run the firefox too
Firefox is a special type of Android application using C++ code instead of Android's normal Java code. Blackberry would need to have compatibility with Android's Native Development Kit (NDK). Feel free to check with the Playbook support to see if they have that level of compatibility.
Some Android apps may be ported to work on the Playbook which may not include the mobile Firefox (for Android) though. http://crackberry.com/press-release-rim-expands-application-ecosystem-blackberry-playbook-android-apps-playbook

Blackberry already released an Native SDK support that has compatibility with C++ code development:

Please confirm if the tablet version of Firefox can be ported to the Blackberry Playbook, and if there is a roadmap for the development to the said platform. Thanks.
It may be easier to get repackaged Android apps on a rooted Playbook now though does the Android mobile Firefox has a chance of working hmm?

kbrosnan, are you talking about spidermonkey? funny blackberry supports that.

Today blackberry PlayBook had an operating system update that will allow android apps to run on it if they have been submitted to blackberry, there is a new browser on the PlayBook today so do what I'm doing, watching for it soon!
Mozilla don't give a damn about RIM and Blackberry, if they were, they would build it. They are just like skype, if they don't see their interests in it, they don't care for others...
Ah yes, do you think that any of their project managers are watching this forum... Don't be a fool... They don't...
