I'm not talking about popup blocking. In fact, I've got pop-up blocking enabled under Firefox preferences.

I go to MSNBC.COM frequently and leave it online. Periodically a new window is spawned by MSNBC.COM for a site for pulse360.com. It's annoying. How can I block that website?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
